When I first set up this website I proudly put the wording together in English. I researched what words would work best for searches. I tried to repeat phrases that are important to mission. I drafted what I would say. Then it hit me: the people who are reading this probably don't read English - yet.
My target audience for tutoring possibly includes multilingual speakers who know some English. But honestly, I am available to work with pure beginners. So how can I reach them?
That is when I did some more exploration of the WIX editor and found that I can add a translation option for all pages of the website www.englishwithelyse.com. ¡Tremendo! So what languages should I add? Spanish was the obvious choice. In the school district where I teach, the majority of students are Spanish speaking - mostly from El Salvador and Guatemala. What would be a good second, though? Urdu? Persian? Korean? Chinese? I didn't know. Then I thought of one of my favorite students, H.A. H.A. speaks Arabic, so I went with Arabic.
